DBT is an evidence based practice that has proven particularly effective with those who experience difficulties with mood regulation and in their relationships with others. My goal is to use DBT with care and humor to help clients see the benefit of new ways of thinking and behaving. I believe in DBT strategies and use them myself.
I am along for the ride of what you want in therapy. I'll ask questions and offer new ideas, and I want you to feel in charge (no matter your age!). Research shows that the factor that leads to the most success in therapy is the client-therapist relationship, thus building a safe, open (and maybe even fun) relationship with my clients is my top priority.

Groups
Skills-Based DBT for Adolescents
Our DBT groups meet for 90 minutes/week for six weeks. Each week focuses on education around DBT skills and practical ways to integrate them into your life. Participants should expect a little bit of homework and should be able to commit to the full six week session. All group participants must have an ongoing relationship with an outpatient provider or other mental health professional.
