I am passionate about helping adolescents and their families who are facing challenges with life transitions, anxiety, depression, peer/school-related issues. With a specialty in working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder and other related disabilities, I have experience supporting this population in both clinical private practice and school-based environments. Collaboratively we will develop healthy coping and problem-solving strategies, improve social and communication skills, and focus on strengths to enhance self-efficacy.
I utilize an integrative framework and evidence-based practice to best meet the needs of my clients including CBT, Person Centered, and Strengths Based therapeutic approaches. My counseling style is based on genuineness, compassion and encouragement.
Prior to transitioning to Mental Health, I spent 10 years working in Human Resources primarily focused on employee relations, conflict management and employee training/development. From this unique professional background and advanced mental health training, I also provide career counseling services.
