My mental health journey was guided by a few VIPs who showed me, sometimes pushed me, towards the way out of darkness. Their warmth, empathy, honesty, and loyalty inspired my approach to therapy. I strive to embody these qualities, creating an environment built on trust, understanding, and authenticity. I am deeply committed to supporting first responders through their unique challenges and individuals who are victims (survivors!) of crimes. My focus lies in addiction recovery and trauma therapy, providing a haven for those who have experienced tough or traumatic events in the community or while serving our communities.
Because of my experience as a co-responder and jail-based clinician, I can deeply empathize with the mental health struggles faced by first responders. Witnessing the toll of addiction and trauma, and how uncomfortable it can feel to access mental health support through an employer, sparked my fire to offer services in a private practice.
My goal is to give back what was once offered to me, guiding clients toward resilience, empowerment, and renewed hope. Together we can identify your guiding values, capitalize on your strengths, and work towards healing and joy. I look forward to meeting you!
