Are you interested in decreasing anxious feelings and improving your mood? Does thinking about issues become confusing rather than helpful? I work with individuals to slow down rapid thoughts and gain a greater sense of control. Clients are able to become more in tune with themselves through their participation inside and outside of counseling sessions. This is a mindfulness approach that taps the inner strengths of each individual to promote healing and growth. In a safe affirming environment, clients learn new perspectives on whatever has troubled them and begin to heal. Clients' input and questions are always welcome.
After graduating from Catholic University in 1985 with a Ph.D. in Counseling, I began private practice in 1989. Since that time I have continued to explore treatments that have facilitated the growth and well being of my clients.
I have been in private practice for more than 25 years and I am trained in many therapeutic modalities; including IFS (https://www.selfleadership.org), CBT, Hypnosis, and EMDR (http://www.emdria.org).
