Being a caregiver of a child means putting on multiple hats, whether it be a teacher, nurse, coach, or entertainer. Caring for a child who is struggling may lead to grabbing as many hats as you can in an effort to support them or make them feel better. Wearing multiple hats is hard and can be exhausting. Trying to constantly choose the right one to wear often leads us asking ourselves “Are there more hats I need to try?” I look forward to supporting your child, your family, and you to address these struggles and to straighten out those hats.
My therapeutic style is rooted in a person-centered approach emphasizing the unique experiences and perspectives each person has. When working with a client, I reinforce a holistic understanding where we explore the connections between our mind, emotions, and body.
I am passionate about supporting clients in understanding their unique struggles and experiences. I understand it can sometimes be hard to find the words to describe one’s experience. I utilize a trauma-informed lens and employ experiential and play therapy techniques in sessions to allow my clients to express and understand their experiences.
