My research encompasses African American mental health, epigenetics, & inherited trauma. I have worked professionally with persons of all ages. I worked with young adults in the areas of parenting skills, life skills, & vocational skills. I have experience providing individual, family, and group therapy, and I can guide you through mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, grief and personality disorders. Additionally, I have conducted seminars on topics such as neurodivergence, inherited trauma in the African American community, Epigenetics, LGBTQIA issues, mentorship, cultural humility, and trauma-informed parenting.
While my background is in cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), I will utilize various approaches to best suit your needs. This includes relational therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy. Every client is unique, so I tailor my methods to construct the most effective treatment plan for you.
Whether through volunteer work, personal interaction, or professional endeavors, I have committed to deliver culturally informed care to those whom I serve.
