My passion is providing care to the BIPOC community, but I enjoy working with anyone who is looking for an in-depth approach to therapy. I specialize in treating unresolved trauma, PTSD, loss and grief, depression, anxiety, and feelings of low self-worth. My approach to therapy is creating a non-judgmental and compassionate space where you can feel comfortable sharing your story. I do this by using narrative therapy along with psychodynamic and somatic informed approaches, and meditation/mindfulness practices. I’m also trained (level 1) in Emotional Freedom Techniques (tapping).
Dynamics and patterns that you may be seeking to heal and change often originated long ago as a means of coping and survival. Sometimes these are passed on in our families due to intergenerational trauma and for people of color this could be racism, discrimination, and racial historical trauma. Our personal pain is closely intertwined with societal problems.
My goal is to provide space where you can explore both individual and collective hurts you find yourself faced with. Through this exploration you will develop greater self-clarify, confidence, and can take steps towards a thriving life. Feel free to contact me for a free 15 minute consult to see if we could be a good partnership in your healing journey.
