I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois and Florida. My diverse clinical background allows me to work with a wide array of challenges that often bring patients to therapy. My approach to therapy is always grounded in evidenced-based practices. Because every patient is different, one approach does not work the same for everyone. I spend time getting to know my patients and understanding how they see the world, themselves, and others. Breaking unhealthy patterns, improving coping skills, and developing stronger interpersonal skills are a big part of my work with patients.
I have conducted 200+ presentations (LGBTQ, diversity and inclusion, hypnosis, anti-LGBTQ bullying, and suicide prevention training in hospital settings). I work with a lot of LGBTQ youth, adults, and their families. I use an integrative approach to psychotherapy and also provide comprehensive psychological assessments (ADHD, learning disabilities, etc.).
My expertise in teaching diversity helps me to better understand the role of oppression in the lives of my patients. I believe it is crucial to understand and explore how these factors impact my relationship with patients and process how the intersections of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender identity, ability, SES, etc. impacts their lives.

We run a free parent support group every other week - suggested donation of $5-10/group to go toward a local HIV/AIDS Organization.
