Hello, I am Celeste Cianciulli, and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. I have been practicing for 40 years and have experience in several treatment settings including inpatient outpatient. I primarily use Cognitive Behavior Therapy. My approach is to assess what is the issue the person wants help with and moving forward to help the individual feel better by utilizing a variety of treatment approaches based on what the client needs.
Goal setting is primarily directed by the client. I encourage clients to express their desired outcome in their therapy and reevaluation occurs during the course of their visits.
The first session is to gather information about the clients' current concerns, including the duration of the problem, including. previous attempts to get help and the outcome of that. This is when the client will be asked to discuss their desired outcome from ongoing sessions.
