I see adults, adolescents, pre-teens, couples and families who come to counseling with a variety of issues they want to explore. Some of these areas of concern include depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, emotional, physical and sexual abuse, substance abuse, relationships, and grief. Some clients may want to reduce or eliminate negative effects of the issues they face. Others may want to change unhealthy habits or create healthier ones. And other clients may want to recover from trauma or abuse and find more positive ways of coping.
I treat each client as the unique individual they are and create the counseling style that best meets each client's needs. I work with each client to establish their goals and walk with them on the journey to reach those goals and to reach their highest potential. I use Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy among other modalities.
I create a safe, supportive and non-judgmental environment where clients can feel comfortable and be themselves as they work toward being even more of who they want to be and challenging any barriers that may be holding them back. My clients can learn to manage their emotions more effectively and learn healthy coping skills.
