I would enjoy working with you to consider the past and future while also focusing on the present as much as possible in order to glean what is most within your control, what are your resources and options, your abilities and limitations, how do we honor and validate these while also encouraging some change, and how do we tolerate what is outside of our control, etc.
It's my joy to get to know you, where you come from, and how you have survived thus far. I then apply your crucial survival skills to your present-day concerns. I lean heavily on Rogerian / Person-Centered, Harm Reduction, and Motivational interventions along with skills borrowed from many evidenced based practices to assist in your recovery.
