I specialize in treating complex trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), including recovery from abuse and domestic violence. But I am here to help also if you struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, low self-esteem—if you find it a challenge to cope with change, or the stressors of daily life.
I work with individuals, couples and families, as well as young children and adolescents. I also developed my own form of dance-based movement therapy, Mind-in-Motion—which later became the subject of my published research study, demonstrating that Mind-in-Motion produced significant improvements in anxiety and depression.
In my years as a therapist, working with combat Veterans, traumatized children, dementia patients, and seniors, I have gained a broad perspective on growth and change. As a dancer and poet, I also understand the healing power of expression. There is poetry in therapy—a dance co-created by client and therapist. Within those exchanges, healing takes place.

Mind-in-Motion Movement Therapy
Mind-in-Motion™ uses easy, flowing, movements combined with free expression, to open the heart, shoulders, hips, and other areas where we “hold” stress. The combination of flow, dynamic stretch, and sound promotes a psychomotor feedback pattern that helps us “let go” of emotional and physical stress. I developed Mind-in-Motion™, my original movement therapy method, from my 25+ years' experience of dance teaching, fitness training and in-depth study of anatomy. My own research study—published in the peer-reviewed journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy, in 2022—showed that Mind-in-Motion™ significantly reduced depression and helped increase self-esteem.
