As a therapist, I believe that mental & physical health are interconnected. Many of us learned to bury negative emotions in order to fit in, earn love or be accepted. Unexpressed emotions live in our body & are often expressed physically, in the form of anxiety. My approach is holistic, using a combination of evidence-based practice therapies, including CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing & Mindfulness.
Emotions such as anxiety & depression influence how we feel in our body & how we show up in our relationship with ourselves & others. In therapy, you'll develop a greater understanding of your circumstances, gain healthy coping skills, break unhealthy patterns & cultivate deeper connections, to emerge a stronger, healthier version of yourself.
I've been practicing for over 14 years, with training from the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavior Therapy, for treating Anxiety & Depression. I'm certified in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy & Mindfulness Meditation. I am trained to work with adolescents diagnosed with Amplified Pain Syndrome for stress management & anxiety reduction.
