People are capable of achieving meaningful lasting change. Stressors happens and supportive care can help. Though I am comfortable working with groups and couples, I specialize in helping individuals cope with stress, trauma, and addiction, developing new skills in communication and relationships, as well as changes in career and military service. LGBTQ+ folks are welcome. I have additional training in addictions, attachment, psychological care after disaster, EMDR therapy, and supervising new counselors.
According to your comfort level, I tend to be gentle but direct, starting with strategies that have proven most effective. I was a helper and educator in academia for 12 years and have been honing my skills in the mental health arena for the past 10 years.
If this sounds like what you are looking for, I look forward to working with you! For more details, see: www.newviewrecovery.org
