I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker practicing in Connecticut and New York. As a mother of 3 children who were student athletes attending private college preparatory schools, and continued their athletic careers in college, I specialize in the rigors and stressors that the student/athlete endures. I also provide concierge assistance surrounding the entire boarding school and college application process, assisting to alleviate the anxiety and uncertainty that prevails during this time frame. I utilize an eclectic approach, including cognitive-behavioral techniques, motivational interviewing and client-centered therapy.
As a parent, I recognize the multiple challenges facing adolescents striving to continue their athletic career into the college realm. I am adept at guiding adolescent's and families through both the prep school and college application process, collaborating to develop adaptive coping skills that lend to obtainment of goals and a promising future.
