Therapy is the process of moving closer to yourself, of building and strengthening your role as your own healer. It is a collaborative process rooted in a trusting, supportive relationship that involves play and celebration as much as it involves discomfort and struggle. I work from a trauma informed, sex positive, and LGBTQ+ affirmative perspective to support the development of a sense of safety in sessions. I am in a frequent state of growth in confronting my own internalized racism and dismantling structures of oppression. My approach is informed by Spiritual Psychology, IFS, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.
Spiritual Psychology is rooted in strengthening your relationship with the Divine through guided journeys. It is a way for you to build resources for support and guidance accessed by listening to your body, allowing your mind to rest, and opening connection to your insight, imagination, and intuition.
IFS has a similar approach of turning inward. The focus is building your relationship with the unique parts of yourself that grew to help you navigate the world. Often these parts are overworked or out of date. Through your increased connection to them, you can move towards a more intentional and balanced way of relating to yourself, others, and the world.
