I believe anyone can change their life with the right mindset and tools. We are all in control of our own destinies, and it is my passion to help people discover their own power. I have worked in various settings and roles including an inpatient crisis hospital, outpatient substance use treatment center, college counseling center, therapeutic support staff in schools, mobile therapist, and behavioral consultant. I have worked with people struggling with trauma, schizophrenia, substance use, psychosis, depression, anxiety, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, domestic violence, self-esteem issues, and a few others.
In session, I utilize primarily mindfulness-based cognitive therapy to incorporate the mind, body, and spirit. However, I believe it is imperative to meet each client where they are using a person-centered approach and then together, we can explore what interventions/theories may help you navigate your own unique journey of personal growth.
Throughout my academic and professional career, I have learned the paramount piece to helping others is connecting with them as human beings first because that is what we all have in common. I am here to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to unpack some of life's difficulties while empowering you to explore what tools will help you achieve your goals.
