My name is Casandra Aguilar, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Southern California, working with clients throughout the state of California via telehealth. I work with adults to help manage symptoms of anxiety, depression, and life stressors, using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person-Centered Approach, to work on making progress towards their goals and start to feel better. It's important for me to meet the clients where they are at and to gain a better understanding of what had them reach out for services.
I like to utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Approach, as well as, Motivational Interviewing, as I feel these have helped to create and establish a collaborative approach towards goal building and understanding what the client is seeking services for.
I decided to become a therapist because I love being able to help others. One of my favorite things is getting to know others and listening to their stories. Getting to help others realize their potential and overall improve their mental and emotional well-being is something I enjoy doing and consider it such a privilege.
