My approach to psychotherapy is integrative, combining the best tools from psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapies. I offer both short and long-term psychotherapy, specializing in depression, stress and identity issues.
I also focus on the issues of motherhood, including infant and child development, peri- and post-partum depression, parenting education and support, and life stage transitions. Specifically, I enjoy working with new mothers, especially those whose children have been identified as having special needs.
I have degrees in Counseling Psychology from Santa Clara University and Stanford University, and for the last 20 years have taught graduate courses in Counseling Psychology at SCU and health education classes at Kaiser Permanente. I'm available for individual psychotherapy and parenting consultations, with hours available on Thursdays and Fridays.
