I believe that all people have the capability to live life in a way that brings them peace. Our ability to live peacefully however can be limited due to past experiences in our often fraught world. Because of such experiences we suffer, and suffering left unaddressed can lead to limiting beliefs and behaviors. These behaviors are adopted as a matter of necessity to survive, yet keep us from authenticity and happiness. The therapeutic relationship can heal and transform our lives through affirmation, validation and sustained attention on one's thoughts, feelings, story and behaviors.
My approach is relational, psychodynamic, trauma-informed and uses mindfulness. This means we will establish a space where you feel safe and can explore and affirm your experiences together. You will share your vision of what happiness looks like, and we will partner to make that a reality by challenging limiting beliefs and practicing new ways of being.
I have been a helper to many and enjoy working with adults of every age confronting the challenges of life. I have worked with immigrant families, and military families. Students at the beginning of their career and those near the end of life. I welcome the opportunity to work with you.
