My approach to psychotherapy is trauma-informed, existential, experiential, and integrative, and I strive to build a healing relationship with clients based on trust, communication, support, and occasional challenge. I specialize in depth psychotherapy. I work well with individuals who are motivated, introspective and curious. I strive to assist clients in developing further insight into their own emotional states and thoughts and taking committed action in their lives to improve well-being and fulfillment. I consider psychotherapy my craft and was trained in a small doctoral program at Penn State focused on interpersonal process.
My practice is focused primarily on treating issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, addictions/compulsions, grief/loss, relationship problems, and a variety of other issues. I have treated Veterans for over 10 years and have extensive experience treating PTSD. Much of my work is focused on empowerment through interpersonal process and feedback.
