I became a therapist due to my deep appreciation, interest and respect for diverse human experiences while simultaneously recognizing the connective threads that bind us all. I work with adults and adolescents age 16 and above, and particularly enjoy existential and psychodynamic focused exploration of personal themes and patterns in clients' current and past lived experiences and relationships. I am also a strong advocate for social justice and allyship, and believe that therapy should provide clients empowerment and recognition of their needs on both systemic and individual levels.
I believe one’s lived experience is a reflection of the quality and strength of their past and present relationships with important others. I believe understanding one’s development and early relationships with others is key to building self-awareness and actualization. I like to include philosophy, dreamwork, art and humor in my client work.
I have some limited availability for new clients, and am a provider through Blue Cross Blue Shield. I also reserve a proportion of my caseload for individuals without insurance or who are searching for sliding scale mental health services.
