Carrie Anne Cooper is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California who has been practicing since 2001. She was a Navy brat and has lived all over the world. She went to school in Asia from age 7 to about 11 years old. Carrie graduated high school in California and has lived in Southern California ever since. She went to the University of California, Irvine (UCI), and went to Pepperdine University for her Master's Degree. Carrie has been working in the field of psychology for more than 20 years, working with a variety of populations and diagnoses.
She has worked with women in domestic violence situations, child abuse, autism, developmental disabilities, intellectual disorders, anxiety, depression, OCD, sleep disorders, etc. Carrie helps clients by providing empathy and understanding as she uses CBT and various other psychological interventions.
She really enjoys working with teens and children and tries to make counseling both interesting and healing for them, so that it is an overall positive experience. Carrie also enjoys working with parents to help improve their interactions with their children and loved ones. Carrie's family and friends are the priorities in her life. She also loves animals.
