Searching for therapy can be a difficult process, congrats on taking the first step! I enjoy supporting others in tackling those social and emotional struggles that get in the way of everyday living: from building skills related to social awareness, to managing challenging behaviors, and utilizing effective coping skills. We all need some practice identifying some tools that can help us when strong feelings show up! Right now I am offering sessions through teleheath.
I primarily use cognitive behavioral interventions to inform my work, although, I also use various emotional and social thinking curricula(especially for children), adapting as needed. There is not one magical tool or exercise that works for everyone, which is why I'm drawn to keep learning/training in issues current in the field.
My background has always centered around human development. I graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Child Development. My specialization during my clinical work at Lesley University was School and Community.
