To me, therapy is a collaborative experience with the intent to promote real change and liberation. I place great value in the therapeutic relationship that is fostered through honesty, warmth, acceptance. Through the therapeutic relationship, I hope to establish a safe and non-judgmental environment that encourages vulnerability and change. Working together, we construct effective coping techniques, communication skills, healthy boundaries and behaviors, and improved life functioning.
I utilize an integrative approach and adapt methodology based on the needs of the client. I typically apply skills and techniques grounded in evidence-based practice including DBT, ACT, and Client-Centered Therapy. I currently work with adolescents, young adults, adults, and couples.
I believe therapy is a way to aid others in finding the path they need in order to obtain happiness, stability, or success no matter what that might look like for each person.
