CBT-cognitive behavioral therapy focuses on changing distorted thinking. Many clients have negative thinking and self-hatred, which has influenced behaviors. EMDR - Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing is a form of therapy that helps people heal from trauma or other distressing life experiences. DBT-Dialectical Behavioral Therapy teaches mindfulness, a technique to help clients live their lives fuller and more aware. DBT teaches distress tolerance, effective relationship skills, emotion regulation and coping skills for life's challenges. Play therapy uses play to help children deal with emotional and mental health issues.
I work with individuals, couples, and families. I help clients learn how to work through symptoms of depression, anxiety, marital & family issues, attachment issues, acute & chronic illness, addiction, and trauma experiences. I am Play Therapy and EMDR trained.
We are each created of mind, body and soul. We exercise and eat healthy to care for our body. We attend church, pray, meditate and connect with nature to tend to our soul.
