I enjoy working with clients who are feeling "stuck" in their current life and looking for support in moving forward. Feeling stuck might mean being especially anxious, depressed or not knowing how to start. I work closely with clients to determine what goals/outcomes we would like to see moving forward. Oftentimes, the process of defining those goals is therapeutic within itself. I want clients to walk away from therapy feeling like they have tools they can use in any situation.
I think life is messy, and we all could use support while we navigate our ever changing world. I like to be that support person when life gets particularly tangled. I use a lot of humor, goal-setting, and (in some cases) arts & crafts in my sessions with clients.
