I work with individuals who are struggling with issues that interfere with their overall life satisfaction and level of happiness. My basic optimism that people can change drives my practice philosophy. I recognize that there are motivational factors that interfere with people's readiness for change and therefore see myself as a change agent to help the individuals I work with to become ready and then able to make changes in terms of coping skills, relationship skills, managing mood instability, substance issues, eating disorders and other compulsive behaviors. My years of practice experience and training have prepared me to offer skilled interventions and expertise.
I specialize in treating substance abuse, eating disorders and other compulsive behaviors and the impact they can have on individual and interpersonal functioning. My years of experience working in an outpatient dual disorder treatment program have prepared me to offer my patients comprehensive treatment that may involve both individual and family work.
Through my education and professional training I have come to know that therapeutic treatment is not "one size fits all." I am in a position to offer varied approaches that best meets my patients' needs.
