When you are ready to start the process of change, which can be very challenging, you will be amazed at what you can do. My focus is very interactive. I use motivational strategies as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. A few other things mixed in like narrative, solution focused, coping skills, and other evidence based practices are tools available to help you along your journey. My goal is to help you determine your goals, and help you find the quality of life you've been looking for. If you have depression, anxiety, dealing with major grief issues, and/or PTSD, family relationship issues, then give me a call.
I believe people need to be heard. I ask questions, help clarify thoughts, explore options and seek out patterns that cause pain or suffering. This therapy is for you, so we will determine your goals together and work on breaking those down to things you can, and will want to accomplish. Sometimes coming to terms with things we cannot change is helpful.
At different times in you life you may have new insight relating to old problems: grief work is like this, and triggers for PTSD can be like this.
