From over 30 years of experience, I bring a warm and interactive approach to helping you address emotional issue/s that interfere with living the life you'd like to live. These emotional issues could be depression, trauma, anxiety, divorce, grief, abuse, low-self esteem, etc. I draw from a host of treatment models that I believe will best suit your needs including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP). One model is EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) that's particular helpful in facilitating resolution of issues in a shorter amount of time.
My interest is helping women and men have healthier relationships by raising awareness about psychological abuse. Non-physical abuse is hard to see, yet it can cause serious hidden injuries such as a loss of self-esteem, depression, etc. Hundreds of clients have been helped by "knowing" the tactics and the impact.
Since 1993, I developed an expertise that brings together mental health, trauma recovery and domestic abuse. I co-founded the highly successful "Groups for Women with Controlling Partners," and successfully treated hundreds of women. I have also used this expertise to help men individually deal with controlling partners as well.

Groups
Healing Group for Women with Controlling Partners
The 12-Week group is supportive, educational and empowering. The group helps women to understand a controlling partner's coercive behaviors; identify the hidden injuries such as self-doubt, anxiety, low self-esteem, etc; achieve safety and self-care; increase control of ones life; and develop a safe and supportive network. Insurance and self pay accepted. See "Practice Policies" for a list of insurances. Domestic Violence Services Network supports the groups by subsidizing women who are unable to pay.
