My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe and nurturing environment for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences while embracing your authentic self and developing more self-empowerment and resilience. You are the expert on yourself and the narrator of your own life and healing journey. Feedback is incredibly important to me, so throughout our work together I encourage open and honest communication about how the therapy process is going for you and how I can best support you through the approaches I use. The therapy space is a safe and affirming context in which to practice assertive communication and self-advocacy.
I provide therapy from a client-centered and trauma-informed framework that is also eclectic and feminist in nature. I incorporate elements of interventions including CBT, DBT, psychodynamic therapy, strengths-based therapy, and expressive arts. I will offer encouragement, insight, and the interventional elements that are most appropriate to your needs.
