My name is Carla Hix, PsyD. I am a clinical psychologist with over 20 years of experience providing psychotherapy. I view therapy as a vital piece of self-care; where one can obtain support, understanding, and engage in effective problem-solving. I specialize in individual therapy with adults. I enjoy working through life’s passages with transitional-age young adults, working through mid-life issues, and working with seniors.
My therapeutic orientation is grounded in solution-focused methods and cognitive-behavioral theory. I utilize evidence-based practices to help decrease distress and move towards goals. My practice seeks to build on one's strengths in a warm, empathic, and validating environment.
