The ideal client is one of two kinds of people. The first is the person who knows that something is off center, or off balance, but they need help figuring out why, and the second is the person who knows why they are off balance, but doesn't know what to do about it. In either case, both are not only motivated to seek answers, but they are also motivated to do the work and make the changes that are needed to recenter or rebalance their lives. They take responsibility for the things they need to, but are also able to let the responsibility lie elsewhere if it's not theirs to take.
I try to distinguish myself and how I can help through my approach to people. I believe that much of what we struggle with is related to lies we have been come to believe about ourselves over time. I help identify the lies and then I help replace the lies with truth. I believe everyone deserves to be understood and treated with respect and compassion.
The first step, the one where you are able to admit you need someone's help is always the hardest.
