Marriage and relationship problems can be overwhelming and can leave you feeling fearful for your family and yourself. I have extensive training and experience in marriage/relationship counseling, and specialize in working with individuals and couples who want to improve their relationship circumstances. We shift the narrative in communication to help you better understand the roots of conflict and pain. With insights and tools to effectively manage emotional triggers and reactivity, we create the safety needed to discuss volatile issues like money, children, power/control, infidelity and much more.
For relationships on the brink and in serious jeopardy, I recommend discernment counseling - a brief, time-limited process to help partners choose one of several definitive paths. We loosen gridlock, clarify and reality check options, and move forward in 4-5 sessions.
I strongly recommend that clients get relationship counseling before taking steps to divorce. I'm a mediator and divorce coach and as such, know the divorce process from the inside. I routinely collaborate with attorneys, financial planners, and child specialists to help keep families out of court.
