Welcome, and thank you for visiting my profile! My name is Candice and I work with a highly diverse population of clients, including people of color, immigrants, LGBTQ+, teens, adults throughout the lifespan, and people who have experienced relationship violence and/or physical and sexual abuse. As a trauma-informed provider, I draw from multiple theoretical orientations and techniques. My approach is generally rooted in a behaviorist perspective, including how challenging life circumstances impact our adaptive strategy, which encompasses any ongoing mental health conditions.
My primary modalities are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, including second/third wave CBT such as DBT and ACT. I am also a trained EMDR practitioner and frequently integrate EMDR techniques into my sessions. As a mental health provider with a strong foundation in social justice, equity and anti-oppression, I am committed to supporting you in your time of need.
