I begin with what you see as the reason you are seeking help, such as depression, anxiety, low self esteem, stress, abuse, work, relationship issues, addictions, etc. From that starting point I help you deepen your understanding of yourself and your situation, make sense of what's going on, find good strategies and solutions. Addictions, including compulsive gambling, is my specialty but I have experience in a general practice working with a wide range of issues. I'm known as loving my work, being compassionate, empathic, pragmatic, energetic and focusing on people's strengths while helping them with their challenges.
I have enjoyed the privilege of working with adolescents, adults and seniors on a wide array of life's issues. I integrate cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamics, family systems and twelve step programs.
Private home office, quiet setting, first floor, easy parking, 5 minutes off 295 in Bowdoinham, Maine .(I no longer practice in Massachusetts.) Afternoon, evening and some Saturdays hours.
