I am a queer, nonbinary therapist who specializes in working with clients of all ages who are exploring their gender, sexual or romantic identity, and/or sexual trauma. There's no such thing as TMI in therapy with me: we can talk about sex, dating, abuse, religion, money, family, and other "shameful" topics without judgment. We can cuss, cry, laugh, share memes, and make darkly inappropriate jokes about mental health. Therapy requires honesty and cutting through the bs; we find healing and joy through authentic connection with others.
I use a mix of person-centered, Feminist, Queer, and anti-oppression/liberation-based therapies, meaning I work WITH you to define goals, explore context, consider coping tools, and create an overall plan for therapy tailored to your needs. I'm not going to tell you what to do, but I will keep it real.
My ultimate goal is to support you in finding stability, joy, and self-acceptance. We can explore identity and relationship issues, practice effective coping skills, or examine the oppressive systems at the root of inequality, it's up to you and what you're needing!
