Resentment, feeling stuck, restlessness, and anger - these painful emotions are indicators that it's time to make a change. The feelings we want relief from are deeply potent messengers that we are not living in our truth or purpose. You may already be aware of the need for change - feeling devalued in your relationships or in your career, feeling stuck in behaviors like drinking, over-eating, or numbing out with TV or social media - but the path out is unclear. It's possible to experience our emotions, set-backs, and struggles without feeling completely defeated, less-than, or unworthy.
Mindfulness practice and learning to approach our lives (and our selves) with compassion are the two pillars of my counseling work. By learning how to step back from our painful emotions and experiences, we gain power to make choices that move us forward, rather than keep us stuck.
It's hard to be a person. I can relate! My work is to help you feel seen and to gain tools that will help you reclaim your sense of wholeness and wellness. If you have questions or concerns about the counseling process, I'm happy to chat and help you take the next step.
