My name is Samantha E Golden. I am the owner of Canaltown Mental Health Counseling, PLLC located in the village of Brockport. As a counselor, and an advocate for families, I work closely with children/adolescents that are having a difficult time dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma. Many are seeing peace in a volatile situation or are learning how to deal with intense emotions. Family changes can also affect children, so I use integrated arts and/or child centered play therapy to help children process the grief and loss of divorce/separation and to embrace change.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (Level 1) and have been working with children/adolescents, first as a school counselor and now as a licensed mental health counselor. I have additional training in Brief Solution Focus Therapy, and Child Centered Play Therapy. I can assist children in finding their own voice and in building their self esteem.
