Hi I'm Cameron. I specialize in treating sexual addiction, betrayal trauma, and PTSD. I believe that unresolved trauma is at the root of many mental health issues. As we heal from within and resolve past experiences we begin to find more peace in the present moment. I have found that talk therapy doesn't necessarily resolve trauma and that additional interventions are often needed. If you are looking for a very directed and focused approach that is geared towards finding relief from the symptoms of trauma, the approaches I use may be a good fit for you.
I am trained in EMDR and Accelerated Resolution Therapy, both of which are trauma-focused therapies. A.R.T. is more of a procedure than talk therapy, and doesn't require the individual to talk about the trauma. A.R.T. is quick and effective and less emotionally taxing than other therapies. Research shows relief from trauma in as few as 3-4 sessions.
