2015, I was the Director and Group Facilitator for Teaching Non- Violence, one of Sonoma County's Certified Batterers' Intervention Programs.
My main focus is on relationships, your relationship with yourself, and with others. I believe the key to having healthier children and families is to strengthen and improve the above mentioned relationships, and to build a strong relationship bond between parent(s) and their child(ren). My style is energetic, straightforward and honest with a touch of humor. I have many years experience working in the group setting with men or women around their anger awareness/management and relationship issues.

One of my specialties is working with women and the many issues that women struggle with especially today including depression, anxiety, trauma and sexual assault, self esteem, intimate partner abuse , commercial sexual exploitation, boundary setting, stress management, mother hood and work life balance.
Choosing a therapist can be a difficult process, I believe my role as a therapist is to partner with my clients to create a safe and non-judgemental environment while working with clients conjointly in learning more about themselves and resolving past pain in an effort to promote insight and healing. I believe in assisting my clients in identifying their goals, while exploring healthy strategies they can utilize in achieving these goals. Personal growth and healing is a goal that is unique to each individual, utilizing multiple strategies in an effort to promote healing through awareness and insight.

You are a victim of narcissistic abuse.
You're entirely powerless. You've begun isolating from your family. The shame is so deep that you're afraid to look them in the eye. They'll surely see the heavy secret you've been carrying. You've tried to be "good enough" for him, but the cycle of emotional abuse and manipulation is never-ending. You've begun to question your sanity. You made excuses for their behavior, his "moods". You've changed yourself to appease him and lost yourself in the process. You no longer recognize the woman in the mirror with her sad and tired eyes. You've disconnected from you friends and the things you once loved. You've lost who you are.

I have served clients dealing with stressors and problems with the legal and child welfare system, dealing with Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, PTSD, ADHD, Grief, Parenting conflict, family conflict, Anger Management, DV for Victims and Perps, and Substance Abuse. I enjoy each population differently and my ultimate goal is to just help guide others to their true authentic self, free from their problems, and help heal those I cross paths with. My observation has been that we are all here just trying to do our best with what we have and we are capable to get to the desired life we want if we just take that step towards change.

I work with depression, bipolar disorder, panic disorder, ADHD, grief and recovery from abuse.
There comes a time when we need help. I appreciate the courage anyone demonstrates when they make that call. I hope to create a space where individuals and families can receive that trusted assistance. I have been a therapist for thirty years. I was a tennis pro for ten years before that. I am aware of the process of change. There is a timing when an individual, or family, is ready to make those adjustments. In working with children, I involve the whole family. I especially enjoy the travels that the adolescent makes, and the perplexing attempts parents make in adjusting to this challenging phase. I work with addictions.

I specialize in helping clients heal unresolved trauma and abuse caused in part by dysfunctional, alcoholic or chaotic backgrounds so they can move beyond their current depression, anxiety, anger, hopelessness, low self-esteem and unfulfilling relationships to become who they truly are.
When we seek therapy it is usually because we reach a point when our problems and challenges outweigh our ability to cope with them. Sometimes we feel stuck in old patterns of behavior or relationships that no longer work for us and we wish to make changes. I serve as a collaborator with you on your journey of self discovery as you find new ways of being and making more appropriate life choices. I provide safety and support as you experience psychological understanding and growth and remain with you as you develop ways to handle life's burdens in more empowering ways.

I specialize in working with folks struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse and harm reduction, life transitions, and stress management.
I am here to be present with you as you explore and process how the vast injustices in the world may be affecting your internal states. Together we can examine the question: Is there something “wrong” with me as an individual, or do we live in an inequitable society that causes emotional and often generational trauma? Our trauma can lead to behaviors that do not ultimately serve us or align with our core values—but there is room to heal. Your ancestral roots, intersecting identities, and cultural practices are an honor for me to make space for in our work together.
