Sometimes, you reach a point where the coping strategies that used to help just don’t work anymore. You might feel overwhelmed, out of control, constantly weighed down by worry, self-doubt, or even physical pain. Maybe you've spent years being highly attuned to others’ emotions and needs, while your own have been left behind. Sleepless nights, forgotten passions, and strained relationships have become familiar but unwanted parts of your life. But now, you're ready for something different. You’re ready to take care of yourself in a new way.

My work is rooted in Pain Reprocessing Therapy, Mindfulness and Self-Compassion, Internal Family Systems and Therapeutic Writing.
I help high-achieving, do-it-all women overcome chronic pain, anxiety and burnout to live a more joyful and restful life. Often, our bodies give us cues that it’s time to slow down while our minds push us to keep going. We have learned that expectations, responsibilities and productivity take priority over our own care and needs. Maybe you have tried to power through your body’s cues over and over again only to feel stuck, exhausted, and unsure of how to find relief. Our work together will empower you to come back to yourself, to tend to your body and nervous system and to feel more present, connected and at ease.

I work through a trauma-informed lens treating first responders and military, individuals in crisis, C-PTSD, and PTSD, as well as specializing in pain management and grief groups and parent and couples intensives.
Life throws us curves that even our best efforts can't resolve. Trauma affects each of us in different ways and forces us all to cope the best way we know how, often reaching out for coping skills that can often hurt us, and support systems are unable to help heal struggles when we need guidance most. You and I will work together to uncover core issues keeping you "stuck" and teach you to utilize mind/body connected coping strategies providing you with skills to live the life you deserve.

I have experienced parenting, divorce, bereavement, and chronic pain as well as love, joy, and boundless enthusiasm.
Many of my clients are those who tend to give too much, disconnect from their own needs and desires, feel depressed and anxious, and/or experience chronic pain. They are often highly sensitive and imaginative, helpers and healers, with literary, artistic, or philosophical leanings. They are all seeking to heal inner conflicts and relationship problems rooted in early attachment wounds or traumatic experiences. Most importantly, my clients have come to recognize it's time to do their inner work in order to create the outer life they want, and they continue to grow and deepen into their innate wisdom long after therapy has ended.

Through our work together, you can use the adversity of illness as a catalyst for growth and success.
When someone is diagnosed with a serious illness, they have no idea what it means for their life, their future, their family, or their career. They have endless questions and nowhere to get answers. Just navigating the medical world feels like learning a whole new language in a foreign city. There are so many life changes, it can feel extremely overwhelming.

I find laughter to be really helpful, especially in the midst of working through hurt and pain.
You try so hard to get things right, but no matter how hard you try, there always seems to be something you forgot or a mistake you've made. You’re often left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied at the end of the day because you feel you should have done more. A lot of your time and energy is spent on work, which leaves you feeling exhausted and drained. Even on the days you aren’t working, you still feel tired and unmotivated. You’ve been told by others that you’re just being lazy or you aren’t trying hard enough. So you’re constantly overexerting yourself and feeling burned out because you believe your best isn’t good enough.
