My belief is that each client has within them the ability for positive change and healthy functioning. I consider it a privilege to hear clients' stories and strive to create a safe and collaborative environment in which we can explore strengths and challenges. I draw from psychodynamic and relational perspectives; the goal to better understand how past experiences and relationships affect current situations. l consider it essential to customize treatment to clients' needs and goals and incorporate techniques from other approaches, such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I have extensive experience working with a variety of clients and presenting concerns including, but not limited to, mood disorders, anxiety, and personality disorders. My areas of special interest include trauma-focused therapy and women's issues related to pregnancy, post-partum, and infertility.
I believe a safe environment and trusting relationship are essential for successful therapy. With these components, clients can gain insight and self-awareness, leading to greater self-appreciation and acceptance. My goal is to guide patients on their journey as they access strengths and utilize coping skills.
