When beginning therapy, you may feel hopeful, anxious, or uncertain. My first priority as a therapist is to help you feel at ease. Therapy is a place where you should be able to be your authentic self without fear of judgement. My approach is casual, warm, and friendly. I have over 10 years experience working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression and/or relationship issues. I am an inclusive and affirming therapist supporting all individuals and identities.
I believe my role as a therapist is to help you be your best self. We will work together to identify your goals and steps to achieve them. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy, to help identify, explore, and change the thinking patterns and beliefs that are negatively impacting your mood and behavior.
I know therapy can be hard sometimes, so I use humor and a warm, positive relationship to lighten the difficult moments. Managing your mental health is a journey - but one that is hopefully made easier with support along the way.
