Maybe you’ve been asking yourself, “Am I broken?” “What’s wrong with me?” You’re stuck between unbearable emotions and trying to maintain control…But it’s not working. You're likely having overpowering emotions of intense anxiety, depression, or rage. Holding on to trauma is crippling. When left unattended it can start tearing away at your physical, emotional, relational, and spiritual life. Are you or your spouse experiencing these feelings based on current or past trauma from childhood, adolescence, or adulthood? I invite you to a safe space where you can feel at ease to begin looking at where these difficulties began.

Trauma, anxiety, and addiction can make you feel stuck. The most important step towards healing is to address the unresolved emotion inside you. Healing requires feelings. Acceptance slowly dissolves pain. When we function from the fear and scarring of our trauma, the cycles continue until we learn how to transmute that energy into love. I apply a Holistic approach that integrates physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual forms of well-being, addressing the “whole” self. Through a holistic framework tailored to your unique needs, the goal is to support you develop a deeper understanding of the self on all these levels.

Starting a family can bring up a lot of unexpected challenges. New mothers often worry about the health of the baby during pregnancy, the labor and birth process, the recovery period after the baby is born, or adjusting to motherhood. New parents often worry about relationship dynamics with a partner or other family members. If your fears are starting to outweigh your positive feelings about the arrival of your baby, or if you're struggling to get support now, know that there is help for what you are experiencing.

Want to learn how you can stop feeling so anxious or depressed, and feel more joy and less stress? Maybe you’ve had symptoms of anxiety, or panic attacks that seem to come from nowhere. Sleep problems. Losing motivation and focus. Obsessive thinking. Many people first try to get help by going to the doctor for medication. Others use alcohol or marijuana to cope. These may provide some relief, but they might not address the underlying issues. Or perhaps you are looking for help with a relationship issue. Are you experiencing an escalation of conflict, or feeling disconnected and drifting apart, or too focused on work or the kids?

As humans, we are incredibly resilient; able to bear seemingly unbearable hurt, pain, and wounding experiences. However, our pain is not meant to be held alone- as we need a present and safe other to help us hold all that has been endured. I believe that therapy takes place within this precise context where your experiences and feelings have a dwelling place to be explored, processed, and held in the therapeutic relationship. It is with the intention of exploration, rather than expectation, that we work together- where experiences that may have not had a home before, can be tended to in newfound and meaningful ways.

My ideal client is open, honest, and willing. Therapeutic work is not always easy, but as long as you are open to whatever hurdles you may face, I am confident I can help you through them. I want to help you first and foremost understand what it is you are going through. I then want to provide education about how it happens, what it means, and how it can be handled. Many people want to be seen and heard and know that the person sitting across from them guiding them through vulnerable experiences understands what they are going through. I am committed to getting to know you and how I can help.

Maybe you are feeling tangled up in unwanted habits, behaviors, or ways of thinking. You might be feeling unsatisfied with the way these things seem to have shaped your life. The weight of carrying this thing around has become exhausting and you are looking for a place to set it down, leave it, and move on with your life free from this burden.

Do you work out, try to eat healthy, and love videos about health and wellness but can't seem to actually put what you learn into action? Do you obsess about what you eat or how much you exercise but don't feel fit and healthy? There is so much information out there and we could watch YouTube videos for ever about weight loss. But why is it that once we have the knowledge of what to do we can't do it? I felt exactly like this and realized that the missing piece is emotional fitness and well being. We all have parts of us that don't want us to lose weight or get healthy because they are afraid we will get hurt if we do get fit.
