I'm also trained in phase 1 of Brainspotting, a powerful therapeutic approach that allows you to process and release deep-seated trauma and distress.
As a therapist, I'm committed to supporting those on their journey toward healing and self-discovery. My passion lies in working with those who have experienced childhood and relational trauma. These experiences often manifest into attachment issues, relationship difficulties, anxiety, depression, and more.

It's not uncommon to find ourselves caught in repetitive patterns that affect various aspects of our lives, be it our thoughts, emotions, or actions. These patterns can have a profound impact on our professional life, relationships, and overall family dynamics. Overwhelmed, disconnected, and unfulfilled may describe how you feel, but it doesn't have to be your reality. The weight of the world's expectations, combined with your own pressures, can be burdensome. You don't have to reach your breaking point before seeking a way out, you are deserving of a fulfilling life.

Have you been trying to fix the way you feel but keep running into the same issues again and again? Maybe you're stuck in the cycle of disordered eating and no matter how hard you try to love your body, you just can't seem to jump on the body positivity train. Or maybe you know your thoughts and worries are irrational - but you still FEEL like the world is coming to an end. Perhaps something (or a lot of things) happened and you're realizing trauma has completely changed the way you see yourself and the world.

Often, therapists have a “why” for their work— a reason or experience that kicked it all off for them. My “why” is my family. We’ve dealt with chronic illnesses and know all too well the toll it can take. In our journey toward healing we found NeurOptimal® Neurofeedback and our lives have never been the same. It has helped my family in countless ways and my goal is to train as many willing brains as possible! I truly believe healing must happen from a spiritual, psychological and medical perspective. My “why” has grown from my family to yours, and I can’t wait to partner with you in your healing journey.

I help overthinkers, perfectionists, and high achievers with imposter syndrome to break free from the thought spirals and free to live a fulfilling and joyful life. Clients who come to me are often overwhelmed with pressure to get things perfect and struggle with feeling “enough.” They often prioritize everyone else’s needs over their own and are left feeling emotionally and physically exhausted. They feel like everyone else has it “figured out”, and they want that too. Life can bring on many uncertainties, but one thing’s for sure: you’re ready for relief and to be free of anxiety, self-doubt, and stress.

I specialize in art therapy and brainspotting to help clients explore emotions as an alternative to traditional talk-therapy.
As a Mindfulness trauma-informed therapist, I work with children, adolescents, adults, and families struggling to find relief from many of life’s challenges. Relational difficulties, family problems, low self-esteem, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and life transitions can all be more difficult than we imagine. I encourage collaboration in a safe, nonjudgmental space to gently explore these struggles, and build solutions that grow confidence. I believe in the healing potential of the brain, which is why I draw from a variety of practices to achieve real change.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
