Some of the issues my therapy addresses are sexual abuse, relationship distress, depression, childhood trauma, and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Emotional and physical trauma, when unresolved, can leave us feeling alone, misunderstood, disconnected and sometimes shamed. It can keep us from forming the relationships we seek and alienate us from the intimacy we might desire. In a non-judgmental way, I engage my clients to help them find meaning and growth through a combination of deep understanding and emotional presence. My approach is attachment-based and focuses on attunement and self-acceptance. When working with couples as well as individuals, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).

I have helped people with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, and childhood issues, among others.
I believe therapy to be a safe place where someone who is in need of help can be heard free of judgment. One of the main keys of therapy is working together on eliminating behaviors and belief patterns that do not help you grow as a person. By using various approaches that are tailored to your needs, therapy will assist in the development of tools and skills, which will help support personal growth. We are in relationship with everything around us: people, plants, place, objects, money, gender, and our internal selves.
You may have found yourself here because you are feeling overwhelmed by your world, internally or externally. I will help you find some peace. Therapy is a way to intentionally find out who you are, in a world that is constantly trying to define us by what we should be. I value a client/therapist relationship that is dynamic, where we work collaboratively to create therapy that is right for you. I provide a meaningful space for you to explore what challenges are present in your life. As you share, you will be met with compassion, curiosity, and acceptance as you work towards a greater sense of ease in your life and relationships.

I approach each new therapeutic relationship with the greatest curiosity and presence.
Many of us carry our emotional wounds in our bodies and only when we create a connection between the mind and the body can we feel whole again. I utilize a blend of therapeutic techniques that include shadow work, inner child healing, internal family systems (IFS), somatic therapy, and reparenting in order to create a safe connection within the body and mind. When you are in connection with your whole self you are then equipped to heal your relationship with others and the planet. I help clients struggling with sexual trauma, grief, codependency, depression, and relationship challenges.

Whether you feel unfulfilled in your career, relationships, or use substances, food, or sex to cope with uncomfortable feelings, therapy can assist you in gaining valuable insights and facilitate lasting change. If you are in a relationship that is in distress, therapy can greatly improve your connection. I help couples become open, mutually attuned and responsive to each other in order to re-establish their emotional connection. With this emotional connection restored, couples can heal a distressed relationship, revitalize a tired one, and possibly rescue one gone awry.

I have experience in: relationship issues, self esteem, perinatal mental health, parenting, life transitions, depression, anxiety, career changes, and creative blocks.
Hi, I'm Zoë. I'm a licensed psychotherapist with over ten years of experience in mental health. I work with individuals and couples who are seeking a deeper relationship with themselves and with each other. I find that with acceptance of your true self, the more confident you will feel in communicating openly, making hard decisions, setting boundaries and making desired changes in your life. This holds true in our relationships as well. When we learn to accept truths about ourselves, we can then learn how to communicate these truths to others. I would love to help you find deeper connection with yourself and your loved ones.

I work with women who desire to redefine their relationship with themselves, their anxiety, their trauma and want a deeper connection to themselves and their body.
I’m Lindsay and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Beyond that, I am also a human being that feels privileged to hold space for you and your story. Our stories are vast and unique and deserve to be held with the utmost compassion. I am here to help you navigate what it means for you to move toward healing and believe each and every one of us has the capacity to heal. Often, this journey begins when we bravely step into our stories and allow ourselves to show up and be seen, despite the possible fear and messiness that can come with it. I believe you are here to courageously start taking steps to prioritize your healing.

One of the most beneficial aspects of therapy is that you can improve the relationship you have with yourself.
I am honored that people come to share and trust me with their personal stories. During my 30+ years helping men and women in all the many challenging phases of life, I continue to be fascinated by the many ways in which your life can unfold. As each person's life unfolds in a unique way, no two stories are the same. I'd like to hear your story, and as I understand how and why you struggle today, I can help you.

A solid therapeutic relationship is key.
Thank you for visiting. It means a lot that you’re here. It suggests you’re sensing something in your life isn’t the way you’d like it to be, and that you’ve decided it’s time for change. A professor of mine once said, “All therapy boils down to one issue–I’m stuck.” Sometimes getting going can be the hardest part. You’ve already taken an important first step. If we want things to be different, we must do things differently. You don’t have to stay stuck. I know sometimes life can feel overwhelming. I want to help you discover new perspectives, new possibilities, new ways of approaching challenges and relating to others and yourself.

My goal is to provide a safe and supportive relationship which invites you to honestly explore any issues you are facing. We will discuss current problems, look at any connections to your personal and family history, as well as talk about what is working for you and ways to build on that. My ultimate goal is for positive change in the present, whatever that looks like for you. I encourage the use of outside resources such as workshops, groups, classes, 12-step programs, yoga and mindfulness practices as well as religious involvement as part of the healing process.

And because I wholeheartedly believe that the client-therapist relationship is crucial to the healing process, I won’t take on a client if we are not the best match and I am happy to provide suggestions of colleagues.
As a natural empath and deep thinker, I am highly attuned and skilled at detecting and drawing insights from unconscious material that lie beneath a person’s struggles and destructive patterns. I hold space for my clients to embrace all the different parts of their complex identity and unique life path. Ultimately, I find that deep questions are best understood in a safe and open environment, not necessarily as direct problems to solve. Therefore, I work to provide a warm and nonjudgmental space that facilitates curiosity and honest self-reflection.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
