For those seeking a more directive approach, I also offer integrative life coaching.
Many of us have lived-experiences where we’ve been forced to disconnect from the most fundamental aspects of ourselves. This disconnection, & the beliefs we construct to protect ourselves from the pain of this, serves as the basis for much suffering. I believe rebuilding a positive relationship with your whole being (mind/body/spirit) is a fundamental principle of healing & that a safe therapeutic relationship is one way we can grow capacity for the exploration, understanding, & reclamation of self required to heal. I aim for our work to bring you into contact with the self-observer, advocate, and healer inside you.

Are you feeling overwhelmed, stressed? Therapy can be helpful during life transitions, for treating anxiety, and healing from trauma. Many of my clients are lawyers, writers, entertainment professionals, stay at home moms, but I also enjoy working with older teenagers, and early professionals. I provide time tested strategies based on successful research (CBT, EMDR, Existential Therapy, Positive Psychology). I am trained in art therapy and as a mindfulness teacher, including certification for Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, MBSR. I can meet with clients in person, or online and have a small therapy dog present in the office.

"I don't know what to feel!" The past few weeks have left us all with an overwhelming sense of uncertainty and confusion. The isolation and societal anxiety are a recipe for profoundly undermining our health and well-being; not just physically, but mentally as well. Many of our clients at Aspire are trying to find their new normal amidst sweeping changes to their daily lives. Finding a space to clear your head, feel heard, and create a plan for sustaining balance is a small, but vital, step for staying strong and resilient. Let us help with finding a path through the fog and to reclaim life.

We are at a time where compassion towards self is more important than ever. Life is overwhelming and complicated. Maybe you "have it all" but feel like something is missing or you are having issues communicating your needs. Many struggle with the idea of having symptoms of depression and anxiety internalizing the symptoms with being "crazy". I am here to remove the labels and have individuals be more aware of the symptoms you experience (fear, poor sleep and appetite, nervousness, sadness, negative thoughts, etc.) and treat them with compassion, reframing and safe coping skills to better improve your life.

I have experience in: relationship issues, self esteem, perinatal mental health, parenting, life transitions, depression, anxiety, career changes, and creative blocks.
Hi, I'm Zoë. I'm a licensed psychotherapist with over ten years of experience in mental health. I work with individuals and couples who are seeking a deeper relationship with themselves and with each other. I find that with acceptance of your true self, the more confident you will feel in communicating openly, making hard decisions, setting boundaries and making desired changes in your life. This holds true in our relationships as well. When we learn to accept truths about ourselves, we can then learn how to communicate these truths to others. I would love to help you find deeper connection with yourself and your loved ones.

As a natural empath and deep thinker, I am highly attuned and skilled at detecting and drawing insights from unconscious material that lie beneath a person’s struggles and destructive patterns. I hold space for my clients to embrace all the different parts of their complex identity and unique life path. Ultimately, I find that deep questions are best understood in a safe and open environment, not necessarily as direct problems to solve. Therefore, I work to provide a warm and nonjudgmental space that facilitates curiosity and honest self-reflection.

We are all a work-in-progress, capable of change at any age. I work with individuals who are: curious about making a life or career transition; needing support with parenting and family life; grappling with grief; craving accountability with goals; wanting tools for anxiety and depression; spiritual seekers; or individuals simply needing to untangle complicated feelings and talk it out. Each new day offers another opportunity to become who we want to be. You don't have to do it alone. Therapy can help with this process.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist with 20+ years of experience who specializes in helping families cope with divorce. I also treat trauma victims from the perspective of helping them put the trauma within the narrative of their life, and understanding its' impact. It's important to understand the blueprint that is laid down early in our lives, and how we continue to operate consciously and unconsciously off that blueprint. Cultural differences on many levels are very important to understand and address in therapy. I work with children as well as adults.

I can imagine you’re tired; waking up most days feeling like you didn’t get enough rest, plagued by your never ending to-do list and tasks for the day, wishing you could run away and actually take the break you need. I can imagine you’re fed up, with your relationships feeling unfulfilling, with working so hard to get nowhere, with living up to all the expectations…I mean, shouldn’t life get easier at some point? I want you to know that I get it, and there’s hope. You’re not lost, or too far gone, even if it feels that way sometimes. This is where your story gets good and when you find your own belonging.

Life Coaching Therapists

What can I expect from life coaching?

Clients and coaches will typically start by identifying the problem area(s) that the client hopes to address—then, the coach will help the client brainstorm potential solutions and explore concrete techniques to help the client attain their goals. Coaching is typically short-term and focused on finding solutions in the here and now, rather than exploring a client’s past. In addition to strategies aimed at the client’s specific concerns, coaches may encourage general stress management techniques such as meditation.

Can a life coach help treat anxiety?

Because the majority of life coaches are not licensed clinicians, they are not qualified to diagnose or treat anxiety. Anyone struggling with anxiety or another mental health condition should seek help from a licensed mental health practitioner. However, some coaching clients who struggle with subclinical anxiety report that working with their coach on other problems—such as career dissatisfaction or unhealthy habits—has a positive effect on their anxiety.

Can life coaching be done online?

Yes. While life coaching often happens in person, many coaches conduct sessions over the phone or via online platforms such as Zoom or Skype. Because life coaches are not subject to local licensing regulations in the same way that therapists are, they are able to see clients who live in other locations.

How long does life coaching last?

Life coaching tends to be a shorter-term process than therapy, though it does not always unfold over a specific period of time and is instead based on the coach’s or the client’s preferences. Coaching often takes place over three to 12 months but may be shorter or longer if necessary.
