I help couples identify where they're getting stuck, and change their patterns as a team so they can move from disjointed to being in sync with each other.
What kind of partnership do you want? I imagine it would be one where you can open up to your partner and feel safe with them, trusting that they’re not going to kick you when you’re down. One filled with more peace and joy than anxiety and pain. A partnership where you work as a team and trust that you can handle the obstacles of life together. If you: Often feel disjointed in your relationship, despite trying to connect; Are eager to be more authentic in your relationship, but you’re scared and not sure how to start; Want a healthier relationship than your parents had, but have no blueprint for one, let's get started.

Pornography addiction can significantly impact your life and relationships but there is hope for recovery. I’m not just a mental health professional, I’ve been “you” for many years. I understand firsthand the personal struggles in your life and committed relationships that come with uncontrollable pornography use. The endless stream of attractive women a few clicks away on Pornhub, Onlyfan or Social Media is hard to quit even with all your willpower and promise to quit for the sake of your relationship

COUPLES - At some point, many partners find themselves stuck in cycles of negative interactions which keep them drifting apart, robbing them of the happiness and intimate connection they once felt.
I work with couples, individuals, and teens seeking help with relationships, grief, anxiety, low self-esteem, anger, or depression. If any of these make some days a struggle or keep you from enjoying life, I'd like to invite you to talk with someone with compassion who can appreciate your struggle. Counseling can bring real change to reach decisions, manage conflicts, handle stress, improve relationships, or work on deeper personal matters. You'll feel truly heard and valued as we explore as much or as little as you want at a pace and direction of your choosing.

Do you worry about your relationships with people? Your boss? Your spouse? your kids? Do you sometimes feel like your mood or your emotions cause you to say and do things you regret later? Maybe you are in what seems like an impossible parenting situation. Maybe you and your partner argue or struggle with emotions and parenting or what to say to each other to turn things around. Maybe you are just trying to figure out your identity or experiencing difficult work environments that seem unjust. Maybe you are neurodivergent or autistic and feel misunderstood, sad, or hopeless-maybe even a bit suicidal.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
