Utilizing CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic perspectives, I provide therapy through a holistic lens, aiming to see my clients from a full picture rather than just their symptomatology.
Experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma can be hard to navigate on one’s own. Through the use of integrative modalities, my goal is to help you find your way so that you can manage symptoms, feel your best, discover who you truly are, and move forward in the direction of your dreams whereby your past no longer holds you back. Using warmth and compassion, I also aim to provide trauma-informed care to discuss your struggles without judgment and safely process unresolved trauma and feelings.

This is why I work from an integrative, relational, attachment-focused, psychodynamic perspective.
Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, relationship difficulties, or feel lost or hopeless, some type of past trauma may be spilling over into your present life. But you don't need to be held hostage by the past. Help is available! And the most important ingredient in your healing and growth is the relationship you create with your therapist. Why? Because the emotional wounds, behaviors and beliefs that keep us stuck occurred in our relationship with others, which means healing also needs to occur in relationship. This is precisely what the counseling and psychotherapy services I offer are all about.

My approach incorporates Person-Centered, Psychodynamic, Solution Focused.
It can be very difficult to take steps toward positive change when facing challenges in life. Have you been having difficulties engaging in things you previously enjoyed? Are you isolating and finding it harder to talk to family or friends? If you are looking for a safe, empowering space where you can begin the process of healing, you have already taken your first step.

In technical terms, I use relational and psychodynamic therapy approaches.
Have you been feeling increasingly on edge, easily distracted, or irritable? Do you catch yourself overanalyzing and questioning decisions or interactions with other people? Do you feel disconnected, lonely, or unsure of yourself? These are all natural feelings, and we all struggle sometimes. But occasionally life throws one thing too many at us and moving forward requires a little more work. This can be especially true if you have recently experienced a significant life change, such as relationship break up, death of a loved one, career change, or welcoming a child. Therapy can offer the needed support and change of perspective.

Life is hard! My goal is to work together with you to help you get unstuck from painful thoughts or relational patterns that are no longer helpful. I work from a Strength-based and Psychodynamic approach to all mental health concerns in adults. I focus especially on anxiety, depression, stress, grief, and family conflict.

While I am grounded in psychodynamic therapy, my treatment approach blends elements from a variety of behavioral therapies.
People often come to therapy after something has become too challenging to address on their own. Recognizing this need for a change in your life is significant and scary, but it marks the initial step toward healing and thriving. This thriving is more than symptom alleviation—it goes beyond quick fixes, surpasses mere functionality. Thriving entails experiencing a sense of wholeness, finding satisfaction in your life, and cultivating your relationships. Exploring the healing process holds the potential for a transformative impact on your life.

I most often employ mindfulness based and cognitive-behavioral approaches to assist in the relief of severe symptoms (if they are present), and employ psychodynamic approaches for lasting change.
I have been a practicing psychologist since 1989 helping individuals and couples in emotional distress due to the common sources of adult unhappiness: divorce or romantic disappointment, family strife, alcohol or substance addiction, job stress, life transitions, chronic or life-threatening illness, and difficulties with aging. For couples I employ the Gottman approach to counseling, which is most useful for couples seeking to de-escalate arguments and/or recover from an affair. I also offer consulting and supervision services to psychotherapists and psychology students on a reduced fee basis.

In my practice, I utilize CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic theory, and attachment theory to help clients experience healing that involves engaging both the mind and body.
Are you experiencing challenges dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship/family issues, and trauma/PTSD? Due to these symptoms, we can be in too much emotional pain and feel too stuck to reframe our perceptions or to find solutions to our problems. Childhood or recent trauma can cause emotional distress that can be difficult to process. I am here to support you in working through unresolved trauma and guide you toward healing. Therefore, you can feel empowered, rejuvenated, and enthusiastic about life again.

I'm a relational psychodynamic psychotherapist with a passion for empowering women in their quarter to midlife stages to heal from complex & relational trauma.
Feeling stuck in the same emotional and relational patterns? Do you keep repeating the same cycles that leave you anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed? Early relationships shape our views of ourselves and others, often influencing us in ways we don't realize. If you grew up with family conflict, emotionally unavailable parents, or trauma, adult relationships can be hard. You're tired of feeling disconnected and stuck. Therapy can help you heal the emotional rollercoaster—whether it's anger, anxiety, depression, or numbness—so your relationships feel more connected, and you experience more joy and fulfillment in life.

In my clinical practice, I emphasize a psychodynamic approach to look at your past and present and how that may influence how you make decisions.
I believe in walking with individuals through their life experiences in a non-judgmental manner. I believe people are not a product of life circumstances; therefore, they do not need to live in a self-punishing manner. I believe individuals can process past traumas and issues resulting in a more fulfilling life. Gaining personal insight and personal growth is a strength that will manifest and multiply in relationships. Working with people is my passion, and I believe your past does not define your future.

I draw from psychodynamic, somatic, experiential, and cognitive-behavioral therapies.
Hello! Whatever your reasons are for considering counseling, I hope that you are able to see the wisdom and the bravery in seeking assistance. Our mental and emotional health are important and have a large impact on our relationships, careers, and general well-being. They should be treated as a priority. Consider that people go to the gym to take care of their bodies, and that taking preventative measures are more effective and efficient than waiting until something breaks down. We take these attitudes towards our bodies, why not our minds?

My theoretical orientation is psychodynamic and relational: I believe in the importance of relationships, including ours, as part of the healing.
“Tell me what you fear and I will tell you what has happened to you.” - D.W. Winnicott. A guiding principle of my therapy is linking the suffering of today to the root of why it is so painful. My interest and expertise has focused on: 1) Perinatal Mental Health (pregnancy, loss, infertility, and postpartum), 2) Couples Work (particularly grappling with issues of monogamy), and 3) Long-term Individual Psychotherapy (struggles with relationships, creativity, and being in touch with your true self). I believe in being Good Enough rather than striving to be the perfect (partner, parent, person).
